Condition:
The watch is in 10/10 in brand new condition where it maintains its original shape and design. The case is in unworn condition where the original plastic seal is still attached (Removed for photography purposes only). There appears to be no handling marks on the watch and the original strap is in brand new unworn condition with no bending or stretching.
Our Thoughts:
To achieve its sleek, compact design, the hour and minute hand mechanisms are discreetly housed beneath the lower part of the fan-shaped sapphire crystal. This clever engineering ensures a slim profile, while the dial is secured directly to the movement with screws, aligning perfectly with the bezel for a seamless finish. The addition of a central seconds disk and a date display on the dial’s right side further enhances functionality without compromising the clean, industrial aesthetic that defines Otsuka Lotec.
The 2023 version of the No.6 introduces several upgrades for enhanced durability and refinement, including a stainless steel case now made from SUS316L, sapphire crystal glass for improved resistance, and beveled edges on the bezel and screws for a more polished look. The lugs, previously secured by bezel screws, are now fixed from the back of the case, adding to its robust construction. With its clean lines, retrograde complication, and thoughtful enhancements, the No.6 is a testament to Jiro Katayama’s ability to combine mechanical excellence with timeless design.
