‍The Audemars Piguet Quantième Perpétuel 25657PT is a shining example of horological artistry and innovation. Produced in extremely limited quantities during the 1980s and 1990s, this reference is among the earliest perpetual calendars crafted in an ultra-thin platinum case, powered by the groundbreaking caliber 2120/2800, one of the thinnest perpetual calendar movements of its time. Even rarer is the blue Tuscan dial, a striking and highly coveted feature that sets this model apart. The Tuscan finish, with its fine granular texture and shimmering effect, creates incredible depth and elevates the entire aesthetic of the watch. It’s estimated that only a handful of 25657PT models with the blue Tuscan dial were ever produced, making it one of the rarest perpetual calendars from Audemars Piguet’s storied history.

Our Thoughts:

The Tuscan dial itself has become a hallmark of exclusivity and craftsmanship. Known for its unique texture that catches the light beautifully, this dial finish was a signature of Audemars Piguet’s dedication to artisanal techniques. Recently, the brand has revived the Tuscan dial in certain Royal Oak models, offering a modern homage to this iconic design feature. These reimagined Tuscan dials pay tribute to the brand’s heritage while blending it with contemporary craftsmanship, further cementing the dial’s place as a symbol of innovation and timeless elegance.

For collectors, the 25657PT embodies everything that makes Audemars Piguet one of the most revered names in watchmaking: a pioneering spirit, unparalleled craftsmanship, and an ability to create pieces that stand the test of time. Its rarity, platinum construction, and exquisite Tuscan dial make it a grail watch for those who appreciate the pinnacle of haute horology. Owning this piece is more than owning a watch—it’s owning a piece of history that bridges the artistry of the past with the innovation of the present.
