Our Thoughts:
The 3360BB is a watch that feels unmistakably Breguet. From the guilloché dial and blued hands to the Roman numerals and coin-edged case, many of the manufacture’s most recognisable design elements are brought together within a remarkably compact 33mm case. The off-centred power-reserve display adds just enough asymmetry to give the dial its own identity, while the small seconds at six keeps the overall design balanced.
Its proportions are also an important part of the appeal. At a time when modern dress watches have generally grown larger, the 3360BB retains the restrained dimensions associated with an earlier generation of watchmaking. The white-gold case makes the watch particularly understated, allowing much of the attention to remain on the detailed dial rather than the precious metal itself.
More than anything, the 3360BB demonstrates how much character can be achieved without unnecessary complexity. The power reserve is a practical complication for a manually wound watch, but its placement also becomes one of the defining elements of the design. Combined with its traditional finishing and compact proportions, the result is a distinctly Breguet interpretation of the classic dress watch.
