Our Thoughts:

The Audemars Piguet Code 11.59 Starwheel takes us back 30 years to when the brand launched its first starwheel watch hoping to kick start a line of highly complicated and beautifully decorated dress watches.

Fast forward to now, Audemars Piguet reintroduce the complication in the form of the Code 11.59. You really have to drop the sentiments and understand the watch from a Avantgarde point of view. Yes it does feel like AP threw in all the most expensive ingredients into a pan and tried cooking up a 3 star Michelin dish. But I’d interpret it as a process to unfold a new direction for future Code 11.59s

The more time you spend with the watch the more details you will find with references to the original designs in the 1990s, you never know, 10-20 years later, this might go down as a future classic.
